Compound

Compound is a program specially developed for the rubber industry in consultation with our users.

The Compound program helps you rapidly develop new recipes from a wide range of criteria. You can retrieve important information including ingredient properties, formulations, test procedures and results for these recipes.

Compound users may set up test and production procedures that define the test type, parameters and result limits. The data generated is automatically retrieved via the Daisy/Maisy program. For Alpha Technologies Series 2000 equipment, Daisy configures the instruments for temperature, test time and the required data points, and compares test results to the specified limits.

Depending on the modules you choose, you can use Compound in a wide variety of ways. It works equally well as a small stand-alone recipe formulation assistant or as a full-featured, networked system. Compound handles recipe management, generates production orders and helps with stock planning information. While meeting ISO9000 requirements, compounding technologists will be able to:

• Create new formulations after selecting on compound application, properties or the use of ingredients in the existing recipe database
• Save time and money when creating the ingredients database since many suppliers support Compound's ingredient data format
• Generate mixing and weighing instructions, production plan and working orders in the same software environment
• Carry out what-if calculations on ingredient changes, rounding changes, different load factors and ingredient price fluctuations while keeping database integrity
• Access test results data from the laboratory, or the data acquired from the production equipment using Daisy and Maisy, and improve quality with the recipe optimization software
• Run on any Windows operating system, Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT4/Windows 2000 operating systems
