IRIS for RPA 2000 Pathfinder
An Interactive Rheological Software System
Description
"IRIS" is the abbreviation for Interactive Rheology Software Systems. This is a rheological software system from IRIS Development LLC. Part of IRIS is Rheo-Hub. This is a highly structured software platform with Rheology modeling/ simulation. Its main purpose is to integrate experimental results with theoretical predictions for the rheology of complex materials. It serves as a rheological tool kit for researchers, students, and practitioners who want to explore rheological ideas and develop new materials or new formulations. Rheo-Hub is easy to browse and navigate. Data analysis and modeling with Rheo-Hub is designed to produce results quickly. Enterprise Pathfinder has a built-in export feature to create a data file compatible with IRIS. In addition, Rheo-Hub will accept data from other sources.
Some of the functions of IRIS include: temperature shift, second shift, time-temperature shift, spectrum calculation (relaxation, retardation), linear viscoelastic theory (classical linear viscoelasticity theories, empirical models), material functions (relaxation modulus, time-resolved mechanical spectroscopy (gelation), plotting, data editing and repository.
The Rheo-Hub is a program that runs on the same PC as the Enterprise Pathfinder system. There is a special annual course available to help learn all of the features of this software. Click here for information about this Amherst Rheology course.
