The Tech Pro densiTECH II, automatic specific gravity tester is
designed for rapid and accurate determinations of density. Operation
is simplified to allow test rates of up to 4 tests per minute.
Accuracy of the instrument is better than +/- 0.025%. The densiTECH
II utilizes a four decimal place analytical balance. This balance
may be used separately for other weighing applications.
Density of
a solid sample is determined by the hydro-static method by comparing
the weights of the sample in air and water. The operator simply
hangs the sample from the balance and pushes the start button.
A micro-processor then weighs the sample in air, automatically
raises a beaker of distilled water, take the weight in water and
lowers the beaker. The density is displayed. The weight in air,
weight in water, and the weight difference may also be displayed.
The densiTECH II comes standard with RS232 output and the densiDATA,
specific gravity and volume change software.
The densiDATA
software allows for storage and recall of density measurements
and also allows for the calculation of volume change. Up to 100
volume change readings can be calculated against the original
reading.
The densiTECH
II is automatically calibrated by an internal 100 gram weight
every time the instrument is turned on.
