Alpha Technologies Unveils New Demo Lab At Politecnico of Milan Italy

Hudson, Ohio. – November 2024 – Alpha Technologies, a global leader in rheology testing technology, is eager to announce it has relocated one of its demonstration labs to the Chemical Engineering Department at the Politecnico di Milano, University of Milan. This strategic move marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at advancing application research projects in Italy and Europe.

The new demo lab is equipped with Alpha Technologies’ cutting-edge Premier Rubber Process Analyzer with Sub-Zero Technology and Premier Mooney Viscometer. The facility will serve two purposes. For one, it enables Alpha technicians to better serve tire manufacturers and other polymer products producers in the region. Secondly, it will act as a support for the university’s latest advancements in rubber testing.

By partnering with the Politecnico di Milano, Alpha Technologies aims to provide customers with a comprehensive view of the latest testing capabilities and foster greater opportunities for innovation in the rubber industry. This latest demo lab joins several others across the globe in Europe, Asia, and the US.

Jayson Humble, Global VP of Sales and Marketing at Alpha Technologies, commented, “This collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano is a significant step towards enhancing our support for the European market. The lab not only demonstrates our commitment to advancing rubber technology but also strengthens our global presence, ensuring customers have access to the information and tools they need.”

The partnership with the Politecnico di Milano will benefit both the university and Alpha Technologies. Students and researchers can work with state-of-the-art instruments for their studies and projects, while professors are receiving training so that the lab can operate at full capacity. Alpha is also creating a channel for ongoing career development in the rubber industry with this venture.

“Collaboration with industry leaders like Alpha Technologies is crucial for the development of our students. It provides them with access to cutting-edge equipment and real-world experiences, which are essential for honing their skills and fostering talent in the field of chemical engineering,” said Francesco Briatico Vangosa, Professor at the Chemistry, Chemical engineering and materials department of Politecnico di Milano.

Alpha Technologies’ investment in the new demo lab at the University of Milan underscores its dedication to supporting the rubber industry and its commitment to providing innovative solutions to its customers. The company looks forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on the advancement of rubber technology and the development of future industry leaders.
